What Is ViviServ?
ViviServ is a Minecraft server dedicated to both general ("vanilla") Minecrafting, as well as a heavily-detailed and intricately-nuanced, immersive roleplaying and story-building creative experience. Crossing not merely one world, but two, ViviServ strives to accommodate the desires of both form of Minecrafters: be that the impulse merely to create and utilize the expansively-powerful, sandbox game as originally intended in a multi-player format, or to give each player a chance to help create and craft a world and a myriad of stories as they so desire.
Presently, ViviServ maintains one dedicated server and one virtual server; the former is primarily dedicated to the "vanilla" or "trial" server, known simply as "The World", with the latter being dedicated to the ARCLIGHT roleplaying and story-building server. Each server is classed as "survival," with limited "Creative Mode" enabled on each in both certain regions and according to merit as displayed by player conduct, need, creativity, and their willingness for collaboration.
While primarily dedicated to "vanilla" gameplay, the ViviServ worlds are demarcated by one major detail: the secondary server - ARCLIGHT - is purely a Tekkit server, with the TechnicLauncher modification pack necessary in order to be accessed. Just as well, the ARCLIGHT world is a by-application-only server, meaning that, in order for players to join the world, they must first prove themselves with a construction trial on the "vanilla" server. Pending administrator approval, individuals who have succeeded, will be permitted access to ARCLIGHT and its growing story and mythos.
